iPad 2 Shipping

Looks like you and I are in the same boat. As are our iPads I'm afraid. I have the exact same shipping estimates. Although, by my count, today is the 6th business day (we ordered at dawn, I'd say the 11th counts!) I think that if it isn't shipped by end of day Monday, I'll cancel the order and just go pick one up at a store. I hate lines, but this is silly. I'm usually pretty patient, especially with international shipping, but for somehing to have no movement for that long isn't cool, not for a company the size of, and with the resources of Apple.

While I am glad yours might be shipping earlier. I would be ****** since I ordered basically the same thing on the afternoon of the 11th and am told it will ship April 1st.

Here's just another example of the inconsistency. Another order placed after mine that has shipped and mine hasn't shipped yet!

my iPad just departed Memphis just 15 min ago. i live in norCal. I'll be a little disappointed knowing I could have ordered later (i placed my order by 103am on launch) and still get it by the 22nd from reading what some people have posted.

Just called the Apple Online Support.

Again they told me that I would get a shipment update either Monday or Tuesday. I ordered 5:30AM PST or 7:30AM CST so Friday counted as Day 1 for me. Monday would be day 7.

They honestly have no idea how stuff are coming in much less when.

I ordered the 16gb Black engraved and the red leather smart cover. It's due for delivery March 22-29 (I have a feeling it'll be the 29th) while the cover is due for delivery on the 31st.

I'm thoroughly discouraged esp. since this is my first apple order EVER. - _-

yet another update:
officially one hour late.
i called fedex & apple multiple times today since i get different info each time i call, and finally someone who knew something from fedex let me know that my ipad should be sent out on a plane tonight from AK and in my town tomorrow. since they normally dont do saturday delivery, i called fedex this morning and had the lady put a note on my order saying to deliver if possible/in my town. if not, im calling the local warehouse when the shipping notes its in my town to double check or just go pick it up myself.
heres to hoping i dont have to wait any longer than i need to.

and yankeegal, i did note to the fedex rep that you had yours, and we had been on the same flight TO AK, so she made the extra effort to call AK and just get all the info. apparently it had already cleared customs and decided to take a little rest in AK for whatever reason. i havent seen a lot of FedEx flights coming out of AK on the flighttracker website so that probably didn't help either.

anyways, thanks for your help and suggestions and glad to know everything looks well on your ipad!! enjoy it for me!

Got my iPad 2 an hour ago. Sad to say I have plenty of screen bleeding. 3rd iPad 2 i've seen in person, all that have screen bleeding.

Apple needs to recall.

sahilio: oh no! im hoping if it is a true widespread problem it will end up being a simple glue problem and dry out after a few days. good luck!!

well you can see in pics that there are yellow spots and then more "white" spots. The yellow spots may be caused by glue but I highly highly doubt the other spots will go away. People from day 1 are reporting the screen bleeding is still the same on theirs.

oh well...I dont think they have any units to replace tomorrow but I guess they'll order one for me!

Smart cover arrived from China via LANTAU ISLAND HK, Alaska on Weds March 16. iPad stuck on LANTAU ISLAND HK since yesterday. Very dissappointed with shipping times etc.

Is the estimated delivery for any of your orders way of off?

My Ipad 2 was supposed to be delivered at 4:30p. Central time in MN. The tracking stated it was on schedule until 4:30p, and then the estimate disappeared. My shipment has been stuck in Anchorage and has been “in transit” for over 24 hours. Has this happened to others?
I understand delays happen but I wish they would let us know if our shipments are not on schedule before the “estimated delivery” time has passed. I made sure someone was home today and now will have to rearrange for next week. I hope it arrives Monday. I ordered my Ipad 2 within the first ten minutes or so online 3/11. Good luck everyone.
