iPad 2 Shipping

Has anyone that has had their iPad already ship seen it move from Lantau Island, HK? Nothing has changed as far as the ship date or the delivery date, it just has not moved in a day or so.

@KT4BAMA: I'm in the same boat. Ordered my iPad 2 w/ Smart Cover at approx. 5:00am EST on launch morning. Later that day my Smart Cover was prepped for shipping and shipped the next day. I just received my Smart Cover today (3/15) via FedEx. I, too, ordered an ENGRAVED iPad 2 and it's still listed at "Not yet shipped" on the order status but is listed for a "Mar 18 - Mar 25" delivery. The ship time remains as it has been since I ordered on launch morning - "3 - 5 business days."

Ordered an 64GB Wifi Black iPad 2 and cover at 12:58 PDT, 3/11. The cover shipped almost immediately, and was delivered today (albeit to the wrong address).

The iPad is still "Not Yet Shipped" - still says 3 - 5 business days, to arrive between 18th - 25th. So we'll see. Clearly, there's plenty of time left in that window, but it does seem a little inconsistent with some other similar orders in the same (or even slightly later) time frame. Oh well.

It seems I'm with you guys. I ordered a 32GB iPad black engraved with no accessories on 3-11 at 3:02am PDT and I too continue to see the "not yet shipped" with 3-5 days and 18th - 25th arrival date. I have watched the shipping dates skyrocket from 3-5 days to 4-5 WEEKS in just a few days and I'm wondering if that will do anything to further delay my shipment. And it does seem unfair that stores are getting orders before us. I have no problem waiting in line behind people who are ahead of me, but I paid for my place in line too.

Anyway, any estimates on when the early morning 3-11 people with 3-5 days will ship?

To answer the original question asked, yes i finally saw shipping status updated.
It seemed like it took a while to go from Hong Kong to Alaska.
It now shows it in transit out of Anchorage as of 4:34 local time in Anchorage.
If your status is like mine, I'm sure we're on schedule to receive it by 3/17.

I ordered 16 gb black with engraving at 1AM PT.

My order finally came in! I don't know about everyone else but to me when apple said Fast Free shipping! That was correct. If I knew demand was going to be like this and I was going to get it this fast, I would have ordered two!

I ordered at 1:01am PT 3/11/11. Got shipping confirmation on 3/12/11. Fedex was scheduled to deliver on 3/17/11 but to my surprise it was delivered to me today, 3/14/11! I'm located in San Mateo, CA

64GB Black Wifi only.

I order my iPAD 2 3g for AT&T at 1:00 Friday morning on got a confirmation that order was received and would be shipped out 5-7 days then sat it changed to a shipped date between April 1-8 this is very frustrating. i am disappointed in this purchased have been waiting a long time to order my iPAD and still have to wait almost another month before its even shipped out.

I received a notice from Apple tonight that my iPad had shipped. However… on FedEX it says "Anticipated Shipping Date"… I assume HK time which would mean today as I post this.

I know that people have posted that the tragedy in Japan isn't a factor… and perhaps that is so… but I don't know. Hard to see how it couldn't be.

In the end… and I'm definitely NOT one of "Apple is always right" crowd… I'm pleased with this situation, I can wait. - JamesJM
