iPad 2 Shipping

still not shipped. received smart cover yesterday.

I don't think that's necessarily true. I think it's taking longer for those that have ordered two ipads. I received my 64gb wifi only yesterday. And from what I've seen those who ordered one the majority have already shipped and those who ordered two are sill waiting for shipping

I don't think they are shipping the 32GB/64GB AT&T models as yet. It is a bit strange for them to delay such a model for so long after the fact they are shipping all others. I have tried to reason by saying that they may not have two many production lines to have all the 18 models going thru at the same time. And remember, they have sold more than they expected to, as per some estimates.

I have one order @ 12:40AM and the other 12:42AM PDT - 11th March - both 32GB AT&T Black and they are in "Not Yet Shipped".

But, they are still within the committed 3-5 days shipping window. And I am not too worried about actual shipping time as every time I have seen Fedex deliver in 2-3 days from Shenzhen. That will still make it within the 18-25 window. As far as I am concerned, Apple hasn't broken its promise as yet.

vball - I'm near identical with your order too with 12:53AM order time and same config. And same not yet shipped status. (And yes, I received my smart cover yesterday too!) I don't mind the wait but wish there was a change in status such as prepped for shipment.

Same here, why are the 64GB taking so long!?

Ordered my 64G Verizon at the same time as everyone else with still no movement on the tracking. The smart cover and hdmi adaptor arrived today, but no ipad. Just called apple to try to upgrade to overnight shipping and they said Apple automatically upgraded orders that were placed on the 11th to overnight shipping. I hope it comes before the weekend. Not looking good.

My 64GB AT&T white model has been sitting at "prepared for shipping" since Sunday night. My order was placed at 12:48 PST. I doubt they'll make their Mar 18-25 shipping estimate. As a backup, I went to Best Buy and put down a $100 deposit this morning.

I ordered mine Friday morning at 3:55 am EST. The cover shipped on Monday. The tracking first said I would get it today. Yesterday it changed to tomorrow, today it says I won't receive it until Tuesday... It's still on Lantau Island, HK...

My ipad still hasn't been shipped or even been prepared for shipment. However, it does still say 3-5 days, and I'm still in that time frame, however the cover has made me concerned about this. I was really hoping to have it by the time I went on vacation in late April. BTW, I got the black wifi only 64, no engraving.

If Apple sold/booked 1M iPad-2 over the weekend (Fri-Sun), that amounts to 231/minute and so assuming that one has ordered around the same time can be huge difference in shipping. I am keeping an eye for any evidence of someone gets the same model ahead of another order ahead in time. Yes, they may appear in online stores as they will have allocations/commitments with those channels that cannot be violated. If the folks who have estimates of 3-5 days shipping & Mar 18-25 delivery don't get theirs within their window, then we can take Apple to task. Until then, enjoy/frustrate yourself with anticipation!

Got the email this morning - my 32GB ATT black shipped this morning. Ordered it at 12:52 am PDT on friday.

Keep in mind that there are 18 different versions of the iPad 2 currently availiable to the US market.

(16GB + 32GB + 64GB) * (WiFi + AT&T + Verizon) * (White + Black) = 3 32 = 18

Mine still says "not shipped"

I have a feeling the White 16GB AT&T 3G may be one of the versions that is taking longer to ship.

Got an update, mine now says the ipad is prepared for shipment.

I kind of figured that there was a delay on the 16gb att 3g's
mine was ordered 12:48 friday morning, then changed status on monday morning to prepared for shipment and has stayed there since.
