iPad 2 Shipping

Not to get everyones hopes up, but I just got mine delivered and the Fed-Ex status says it is still in Alaska. Wasnt supposed to come until the 17th, so it was a nice supprise to see it today. Well, gotta play...Dont lose hope people.

As you can see I ordered mine on the opening bell, and have had no change in status.
It looks like I'm not alone. Ordered the Apple care and the Airport extreme both were at the door in a couple of days.
Apple reps sure could relieve some IPad 2 anxiety by posting here a daily general update.

Mine was delivered today too. (32GB, WiFi, Black). As of yday Fedex indicated delivery on 3/17 and Apple showed 3/18. Because they have surprised me before with early deliveries I had put out a Shipment Release Authorization.

It seems to me that Apple is pretty much on the promised schedule for the early purchasers anyway. 3 to 5 business days… if those who have not had a shipment update receive one tomorrow that would be precisely the projected timeframe Apple has projected.

My current situation: 16gb WiFi, Black… Currently at Lantau Island, HK. It's being listed as 'In Transit'.

I ordered mine at 12:45am on the 11th. I know of one person who ordered a few minutes after I did and has received theirs although I don't recall the model they ordered.

I don't think the early purchasers are going to experience much of a delay… from projected ship and delivery times. Those who ordered after known supplies were depleted may have a long wait. - JamesJM

I ordered the exact same model at exactly the same time I am in the same boat. I'm kinda ****** that other people ordering after me have already received theirs. Or has shipped.

Yankeegal (and everyone else), FWIW, I received my black 64GB wifi only iPad today, one day ahead of the scheduled delivery date. It moved very quickly once it got to Anchorage. I assumed it would arrive by FedEx ground after it hit the States, but in fact it flew to Indianapolis and then to my city, arriving this morning at about 6:00 a.m. Then it was put on a delivery truck, and I received it by 10:30 or so. I just decommissioned my First Gen model and handed it over to my son, and now my new one is just about sync'd and ready. Guess I'll run to the mall and get it Ghost Armored so it doesn't scratch. Best wishes, everyone. I was really planning on about a March 25 delivery date, so I'm very happy. The cover arrived on Monday, so now it has an official home.

What time did you order your Black 64gb? What day did you receive your 1st shipment notification. This kind of helps us gauge where we are in this phantom queue.

Does anyone know if FedEx is shipping on Saturdays (as it relates to Apple Store purchases)?

there shouldn't be a hold up in the area. i ordered my iPad around 12:50 am and got the 3-5 day schedule. the ipad has arrived in NH. the case is still in transit from TN. weird that the iPad got here first.

i ordered mine at 12:50 am and it gave me a 3-5 day shipping period. it just arrived in new hampshire. the cover is still on the way.

Yes, fedex does deliver on Saturday, unlike UPS.

Wow slpslee! That's fantastic! Mine is showing "at local FedEx facility" in Lantau Island HK, with a delivery date of 3/18, so it's not likely mine will get here tomorrow, but hope springs eternal!

Also ordered Green Smart Cover.
Both were delivered today, the cover came about an hour ago, my IPad 2 delivered about 10 minutes ago.
Now off to open the box!
