Can't access Camera roll after new software update on IPhone 4

Can you fix this? In photos, a list of albums appears including camera roll which usually sits at the top of the list towards the top of the screen. After a recent update it seems that the camera roll sits right underneath a grey translucent 'albums' bar. The 'albums' bar is not touch sensitive and therefore camera roll won't open also no way to scroll down and tap at the same time. How to fix this, anyone? Thanks.

I have the same issue, but closing the app and reopening doesn't work.

ANy other suggestions?

This is solved using ios 5 I think apple has corrected this bug :), I've upgraded to ios 5 and never had problem again

I'm having the same problem. Closing the camera roll doesnt work. I turned my phone off then on, held down the home and lock button until it rebooted. Nothing.

When I try to access the camera roll from the camera it says "Your iPhone is locked" Unlock your iPhone to see all of your photos and vides."

Some how files are getting corrupted I just hope we get an update soon. I had a similar issue and I solved it by following instructions here http://www.iphoneincanada.ca/how-to/how-to-fix-iphone-camera-roll-crash-and-phot os-turned-to-other-in-itunes/

I hope your reading this apple and I hope you are releasing and update soon like yesterday..

i tried all of these procedures, but still didnt workout, even i tried deleting all photos or restoring the device to original settings but nothing is working......

help.....

I completely backed up my phone on my Mac book and did a complete reset of the phone. Emtyed it. Then put all my photos, contacts, apps etc. back on. It finally worked and the phone is working great.

DEAR IF U HAVE CAMERA ROLL PROBLLEM PLZ TRY THIS INSALLAH YOU WILL DONE

Let's assume you are in your camera roll. Now do the following:

1. Click on the home button once to get out of the camera roll
2. Double click on the home button. (Now you should see a number of icons on the bottom of the screen. These are the applications that are currently open).
3. Scroll sideways until you see the "Photo" app.
4. Tap and hold the Photo icon until it jiggles and there is a red "close" button on it.
5. Tap that red button and you'll see the icon disappear.
6. Click the home button once to get back to your desktop.

Now you have successfully closed the app and opening it anew will get rid of your problem.
