Wrong Apple ID: How do I change the Apple ID prompt when Updating All Apps?

How can I change the (wrong) Apple ID from the password prompting dialogue when I am already signed in Apple Store with my own ID?

More details of my problem:
When I try the Apps' Update-All option in my iPod 4, the password dialogue prompts me with my girlfriend's Apple ID; YET, I AM signed in the Apple Store with MY own Apple ID.
I have already verified my ID under Settings/Store. I have also signed out, signing back in with my Apple ID, just in case. No problems there, for I DO sign in with my own ID ok. The problem is just the prompt dialogue for password, when I try to use the 'Update All' feature it prompts me for password with her ID, not mine.
If I go back to Apps and choose the Categories (or Top25) menu, at the bottom of the page, it shows me signed in (my Apple ID). If I try to update one Apps it will do ok. But if I try to Update All it will prompt me for password using her ID, waiting for me to type in HER password. I cannot change the Apple ID on that dialogue (static). If I use my password, it will return the "wrong password" dialogue.

How can I change the prompt for the Update All? What is going on here that I AM signed in but my iPod prompts me with her ID. My iPod is registered under my Apple ID. I have already tried the Hard reset by pressing Home and Power buttons simultaneously, to no avail. I am also using my own network to go Online. I am also with the latest OS in my iPod and my Mac's iTunes.
Thank you!
PS This problem is not occurring in my iPhone 4 (same account) nor my Macs.

iMac, MacBook, iPhone 4, iPod touch 4, Mac OS X (10.6.5), intel core 2 duo

Here is something some of you are missing. I had an Apple ID that was not and email address. I was recently forced by Apple to change my Apple ID to and email based ID. So it is not a case of I have two accounts. My prvious Apple ID no longer exists! In doing the forced ID change two things happend, first I can not update apps and second I lost any previous balance in my itunes accout from gift cards. I do not have a sollution for either. nothing at all in this thread had helped. I have gone into settings, clicked store, igned in and siged out. I have synced, I have restored. all of this and nothing changes. I have progress in my games I do not want to loose. I also want me money back from iTunes! HELP!!! Apple this BUG *****

Dion I feel your pain. This is easy to do and I did it myself. Apple makes this so absurdly complicated it is like using Microsoft products in 1999. It is THAT bad. Too bad Jobs isn't around to scream at the guys who came up with this.

Okay. enough ranting. After I did the same thing (though no gift card to lose), I called Apple. It was the only way. Later I took that second account and changed my name to DELETE DELETE and put in a bogus email address so I will NEVER use it again.

Today I simply changed my email address (which of course changes my Apple ID) and I have to waste my night fishing around here to change my ID on my iPhone, iPad and iTunes on my Mac. Why???

I had problem with same thing after restoring my iphone4S, when I try to update apps afterwards it gives me my wife's apple ID. So this is what you do...Click on Apps store, then on top menu click on "Purchased", find the apps that doesn't belongs to you & delete the icons from the home screen. Somehow after I sync iPhone to PC during restore, my wife's apps got mixed up with mine. After you delete the apps that doesn't belongs to you, you'll have your own Apple ID back for updates & purchases.

Hope this help everyone as well.

Try this....check the apps icon on your home menu & delete any apps icon doesn't belong to you. To delete them press on the icon for few seconds until they wiggle then hit the X button on top left of icon, after you delete them next time when you update or purchase apps it will give your correct Apple ID. Also to get your apps back, just go to apps store hit update then purchase on top & select apps to restore.

Hope this helps....

Ok, this has a few steps but, if you follow them it will work. At some point and time, an app was downloaded to you phone through a glitch in iTunes that did not belong to you. First, with your device, open up your APP Store icon and access updates. Now, open each app that requires an update separately, until you see the pop up screen that has the incorrect user ID. This is the app that you need to delete from your device. Once you have deleted the app, make sure you sync your device with the correct iTunes account on your computer. Now, you can go into the phone and update all, assuming that you have deleted all apps that do not belong to you!

Remember, to check your device settings in the following folder locations to see that your proper user ID shows. Go into your iCloud folder as well as your Store Folder and make sure both locations show the correct user ID.

Even completing a master reset will not correct the issue, if your iTunes account has this same app ownership issue.

Good Luck, this worked for me. 😀
