Pages crashes when opening document URGENT CONFIDENTIAL!

Switch it off and on completely: Did that (several times), to no avail. But thanks.

I have used pages often and like it so much on the ipad I bought one of these bluetooth keyboards. I thought maybe it has something to do with that ...

I've had the same problem with Pages on my iPad3, twice today, just typing away normally and then it drops out. You can't report the problem to apple in the same way you can when it crashes on OSX which is annoying. Out of curiosity I thought to fire up Xcode and see if there was anything in the logs, i found this:

...the disk io error is a bit of a concern, this ipad is only 5 days old! If this keeps happening it's going straight back to apple!

Same exact problem here. My documents are simple text documents, with no formatting, tables or other fancy things. I've tried everything - Latest version of iOS and Pages, can't email, transfer, copy or convert the document in order to recover it. Restarting pages and my iPad yielded no results. Any help would be appreciated.

Same problem here. Simple text document, no funny tables or formatting. I have the latest version of iOS and Pages, and cannot: Open, copy, share, convert or transfer the document by any means. Pages crashes when I try to do any of these things, and I'm left on my homepage. Any help would be appreciated.

Same thing here. I was trying to copy the content of a table to another one. I tried once, it crashed. I tried again, but I saved the table before, the app crashed again and now it doesn't open anymore. I tried to open on pages in iCloud but it doesn't work as well. Was a big file, more than 300 pages and about 90 mb and I don't want to believe that I lost months of work.

My gut feel is that 300 pages & 90MB is a bit of overkill for an IOS device. You really should consider a MacBook.

I was writing in a MacBook, I was just doing a little update in the iPad and now, it's gone. :/

Then how could you possibly lose "months of work?" You still have the copy on the MacBook absent the "little update."

Because it doesn't open in the Mac as well.

How did a crashed file get copied to the Mac?
