Really, if you think the price is too high don't buy it. I think it's an excellent price for the product I saw.
Agreed. But right now, we don't know how much Compressor, Motion, DVDSP, etc. will cost separately or if they will be rolled into FCPX. For ex., if you budgeted $300 for an Final Cut
Studio upgrade this year, and then come to find it will be $300 or whatever +per component+, then that's another story.
I'm glad you guys have hundreds falling out of your pockets ready to throw blindly at Apple before we even know what's going on... But for small operators like myself, we have to watch our budgets. I've started upgrading my hardware this year (beginning with a MacBook Pro) and had planned to upgrade my Final Cut Studio software (along with other pro apps). $300 is fine... But if I find out I'll need to be tacking on hundreds more for other aspects of the studio suite... well that will force me to hold off upgrading.
AGAIN! Talking upgrade price from Final Cut Pro STUDIO to the new Final Cut Pro
STUDIO X. If Final Cut Pro X IS, repeat IS, the new Final Cut Pro STUDIO....
... then that's cool.
Get it?!?
