How do I insert a CD to the iPad 2?

Dunno, but I think making a tablet with a disc drive is an excellent idea. With ports, disc drive and mobility, the iPad would be perfect. Would be far preferable to clunky laptop...

CD/DVD/Bluray drives are keeping Apple from innovating to smaller products like the iPad.

I take your point. Digital is the future and indeed, current, too. Yeah, gotta get busy putting everything cd/DVD on flash drives. But what an ordeal that will be. Don't relish that task.

I hate smart phones. I like tablets because typing on them is much easier for me. I'd had an iPhone and returned the thing within 3 days. Mice typing holds no appeal for me. As well, I couldn't access my bank accounts, nor my credit card info. I love the normal sized 'keys' on the iPad. Prior to getting my iPad, I was connecting to the net using my lg vu phone. Not optimal by any stretch.

No-one has yet suggested incorporating a turntable on the iPad yet, I am really surprised at that.

Now would someone please lock this thread before it gets totally out of hand?

No they don't :-) there are no cd rom in a Macbook Air :-)

I did not get an iremote for my iPad and have to keep getting up to change channels. Very inconvenient.
