how do i use my profile picture as my avatar?

Yeah, that's what happened in my case as well. Host enabled it... Someone thought I might have to actually pass 500 for the new priviliges to enable, but hit 510 and nothing. As in your case someone notified a host, and there it was... now I can happily share Mr. Redlegs with the world wide community.

All you need to do is go onto your profile, and on the right-hand corner there will be a strip, that has options to edit profile/avatar, edit profile and preferences....... click on change picture/avatar. Then there will be four grey squares, with grey silluets in them, and on the right hand corner there is a strip of pictures you can chose for you picture-but not your avatar. At the bottom of the grey squares there is aa option to add/edit avatar. Click on that. And then you just have to choose on from MY PICTURES. Done!!!😀

P.s. You can have multiple avatars e.g. if you click on my profile I have two Avatars

It seems you have two pictures in your profile, but your avatar is a stock image. You cannot add a custom avatar until you've gotten 500 points.....

Oh, was that what the question was...? I thought they didn't know how to select and profile image! I acctually got stuck with this before too! 😊
