inspector --> photos --> slideshow --> transitions section --> select one from pull down menu

here are transitionindexi:

[0, x] = random effects

[1, x] = swap

[2, x] = fade

[3, 0] = wipe right

[3, 1] = wipe left

[4, 0] = horizontal close to center

[4, 1] = vertical close to center

[5, 0] = horizontal open from center

[5, 1] = vertical open from center

[6, 0] = move out right

[6, 1] = move out left

[7, 0] = move in right

[7, 1] = move in left

[8, 0] = shift right

[8, 1] = shift left

[9, x] = fade out/in

These are the only transitions available thru iWeb's Photo/Slideshow pane:

that's correct, those are slideshow transitions exposed to users, the other are hidden.

just like picture frames... there are 82+ picture frames/strokes but only a handful of them show up in any given theme... unless you know where/how to enable them.

Makes sense. I know about the frames. Found an application that modifies the preference files for iWeb and Keynote. How difficult is it to modify (for us novices) the preference file to activate the additional transitions?

No, not fishing. I was wondering if it's just like adding one new key in the preference file that unlocks the frames.
