iPhoto 11 and upload to Picasa web albums

Odysseus, just out of interest what don't you find user friendly about Flickr? I started to use it fairly recently and I seemed to get the hang of it Ok and I was pleased to find quite a few features I'd felt we missing with Picassa Web Albums. I decided to ditch Picassa specifically because I felt I was being driven down a Google+ funnel and I didn't like it 😠

I've never been able to get the hang of it -- not that I've spent a lot of time trying. 😟 Picasa Web made more intuitive sense to me. Perhaps I should give Flickr another try. It can handle video as well, can't it? Will it email "subscribers" to "albums" that new photos and/or videos have been posted, à la Picasa Web?

Frankly, I’m not sure that iPhoto feedback is the best place to file requests for web photo galleries. Probably should happen under iCloud, right?

Use both. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. 🙂

Odysseus, yes, Flickr can also handle video but the number of videos you can uoload is limited depending on what sort of account you have, to be honest I think YouTube is a better bet for video but flickr is fine if you just want to upload video now and then. If you add someone as a contact you will see what they have been uploading and when it was uoloaded if you login. As far as I know you don't get email alerts but I prefer it this way as I can see what any number of people have been uploading without constantly getting emails sent to me. I just prefer to check these things when it's convenient to me.

I came here because that very option disapeard. Very frustating. But Apple has a track record for breaking plugins they don't like.

Super annoying. I was able to have success using the Picasa standalone tool that also comes as part of the download so at least there's that. Dragging my pictures directly to it from an album I created worked as well. Free too.
