Can't connect FaceTime with iPad 2.

After entering my Apple ID I get a message saying...

FaceTime Activation

Could not sign in. Please check your

network connection and try again.

My network seems to be working fine and am able to access the internet as well as my Apple ID account through the internet.

Please help...

iPad 2, iOS 4.3.2

I have the exact same issue with my (64GB, WiFi only) iPad 2;

FaceTime Activation fails every time with a "Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again" error; no proposed fix works.

My Apple ID, Apple ID password, and network settings are 100% correct.

Please advise.

syl007 you are a legend! To try and connect my iPad2 and iPhone4S using FT has so far taken me 2 days. This is like climbing Mt Everest!! After resolving AppleID conflicts, not receiving activation emails from Apple and (when I did eventually receive them), the Apple server not validating my emails.... I was getting desperate.

I read numerous forums, on-line articles and Apple tutorials. I found your suggestion and was ready to try anything. I changed my DNS to 8.8.8.8 on both devices. You can imagine my elation when iPhone4 connected to iPad2 and vice versa. It may as well have been Christmas! 4 numbers stood between sanity and insanity!

Thank you so much! Greetings from similarly sunny New Zealand!

Thank you, thank you and thank you. I have had a problem with FT on my IPOd and Apple Techs tried to help without success. I recently purchased the IPAD2 and was hoping that the problem had been fixed but no such luck. Thanks to this support forum my FT is working between my iPod & ipad2. I'm so delighted because FT was one of the main reasons that I purchased both devices. ...looking forward to trying FT with friends & family now. Keep sharing!

I have tried ALL of the fixes I have found. I have changed DNS server on new iPad, opened ports, made sure time was correct, changed DNS on PC...nothing is helping. I am unable to activate and sign in. I have also set up a new ID, even though the one for my iPod was working on my iPad for apps and everything else. I am at a loss and extremely frustrated.
