Yes this DNS 8.8.8.8 settings works but why did I have to waste 2hrs with my new Macair and my wife's Ipad2 nearly a year on. What are Apple playing at? Astonishing that they do not offer this advice on their website. ?!

You can reboot your iPad. Or change the DNS to 8.8.8.8.

Use of IPad2 has got nothing to do with Broadband or unifi. Both services are ok with iPad.

I was so excited to have the answer but.........unfortunately having changed the DNS setting on both my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 I still get the message saying that I am busy! Am I missing something quite obvious?

Note that FaceTime requires both parties to be connecting to the Internet via WiFi. If either is using the cellular network for Internet access, it won't work.

Are you trying to establish a FaceTime link between your iPhone and your iPad? If so, you may need a separate E-Mail address for each, associated with the same Apple ID.

It may work if you call the iPhone from the iPad by using the iPhone's phone number instead of its E-Mail address.

Yes, after changing the DNS to 8.8.8.8, 8.4.8.4, my iPad Face time can connect very easily. I can even chat with my friends in other countries.

Please try to change the DNS from 192.168.1.1 or whatever to the numbers above. Good luck.

I only changed my iPad2, I didn't make any changes to my iPhone 4. I tested it by calling myself from the iPad to the iPhone & it worked fine. Maybe changing both caused an error?

Mine didn't work until I changed it to 8.8.8.8 now my ? Is by me doing this am I opening up any security threats for people to get into my internet connections or router info?
