I see what you are saying, and i agree, but what i mean is that even tho apple is right, and are moving in the right direction it still leaves us with an ipad here unable to use a number of websites and services until everyone is using HTML5. From what i understand it wasnt that they couldnt get flash to work on the iOS, but rather that it wasnt optimized for touch devices. I wouldnt mind being unable to play flashgames, but watching clips and entering flash based websites is something that would work anyway. What do you think?
In my reading of it the problems with Flash under iOS were way more serious then it not be optimized for touch. It was eating the batteries like they were candy. I think that Adobe has finally seen the ligght and is giving up on all Flash products for all mobile devices. It never was really designed for mobile use at all.
While there will be some sites that never got away from Flash just as there are still some sites mostly government sites that still require Internet Explorer I think the vast majority will migrate over to HTML 5. fairly quickly.

Hmm yeah, i guess. I just wish there was a way around this so i can enjoy my ipad to the fullest!

Well it won't be just the iPad but all future development of flash for mobile
You can usually find an app for video or some browsers though they have mixed reviews
"it still leaves us with an ipad here unable to use a number of websites and services"
As it has been for the last 4.5 years with all iOS devices (iPhone, iPod touch and iPad). Lack of Flash certainly hasn't slowed down sales of these.

Boy, that's true. Flash was fine for animation back in the 1990s, and before many mobile devices. It was fine for dial-up at the time, but used tons of processing power to decode. The fans on my computers back then would be constantly running when any page with Flash was up. When mobile devices became more popular, Flash was exposed for the power-sucker that it was, and Apple didn't use it because of that.
I say good riddance to it. Let's move on to better technology.
I think Apple won't ever allow Flash to play on their devices.
See here: it was written by Steve Jobs himself
Which, of course is totally irrelevant, since Adobe has not created a version.

HTML5=FAIL
I tried these:

Never loaded so I gave up.
Could not get it to work I am guessing it's because we are using a touch screen.
Says right on it that it doesn't support it. can only watch the video which is progress but it looks like they still have a lot of work to be done before we can use this html5 fully on tablets.
I have an ipad that I love and would not trade but I just bought a small android tablet in hopes it will play the game my son loves. But i have to wait til Xmas.
Overall, people like myself are just disappointed that we have an expensive tablet that does not show every content on websites and we feel somehow limited.
I understand some of the reasons we do not have flash as I have read this thread. Who wants their ipads crashing anyways? I feel very safe when using the Ipad's safari for buying things online or paying bills. We just want the websites to work and our free games that Itunes do not have. We have to let our frustrations and ideas out somewhere and these forums are the places to go.
Moot point since Flush will no longer be supported by Adobe with mobile devices. Flush with mobile devices is going by the wayside.
Cute spelling of Flash there.

"HTML5=FAIL"
More likely website coding to html5 = fail.
" http://www.thewildernessdowntown.com/

As noted olower lower left of the page, it is part of the "Chrome Experiment" so it experimental.

Yes, it requires a mouse left click as noted in the instructions.
Says right on it that it doesn't support it. can only watch the video which is progress but it looks like they still have a lot of work to be done before we can use this html5 fully on tablets."
You mean that specific site requires work before it will work correctly. As stated, it is an experiment.
"HEADS UP
This site was designed as an HTML5 experiment and is unable to render properly in your browser. This means you can’t play the game but you can still watch the video.
Why is this thread still active? Adobe officially stated that they would be discontinuing Mobile Flash, meaning HTML5 won the war between the two.

End of discussion, nothing else to be said, nothing else can be done.
"Why is this thread still active"
Because people keep posting in it, even though their post has nothing to do with the original topic...
