How do I get flash player on iPad?

My problem is on websites like CNN. I can view everything except "Live Coverage". For instance I wanted to watch the final space shuttle launch and I had to fire up the PC.

Try the Fox News app for the iPad. It's really good IMHO.
The CNN App is lacking in content compared to the CNN website. I understand your point you can watch "live coverage" with the CNN App but it does not carry everything that the CNN website does. I have the Fox News App and use it too.

Well, OK, fine. But speaking as a consumer of iPad apps, you may want to try it just to see how it works. I think the interface is really good, and it is easy to access various types of content (print stories, video, etc.). IMHO, app developers could learn a lot from the Fox News iPad app.

Well, let me be blunt. I want news, not political commentary disguised as news. I don't care how technically qualified they are.
How about Drudge Report? Good app, but not as nice as Fox News. And since it is basically just a page of links, there is no political commentary. Right? 😉
Sounds like you want CNN news but CNN does not have an app that works well for you. I think you should ask CNN to develop an app that meets your expectations. There is nothing we can do. A couple of suggestions have been forthcoming but they also do not meet your expectations, as news sources, not as quality of app.

Yes, I have asked CNN to make their app work properly but, after six months, there is no change.
I can live without CNN. I posted only because the app was recommended to someone else and it's really a crappy app.

Yes! They absolutely should make their app work the way that it should. If they're going to post movies on an iPad app, the movies should be viewable by those individuals that are accessing the app with iPads. In case you're wondering, this is NOT sarcasm.
May be difficult to get the apps developed by all using flash. (CNN app is the solution given by someone, to circumvent the flash issue faced on CNN website on ipad so actual issue is sidelined and app issue has taken over)

This thread went off track a long time ago. There are 90+ posts and the bottom line is still that iPad does not support flash. There is no point to keeping the thread on topic any longer.
