Another IOS 4.3.2 Battery issue.

Ok I've passed the last three dayt reading all the posts about the battery drainage under IOS 4.3.2, and I've tried quite everithing to stop the problem on my iPhone 3Gs, but I couldn't.

So I'm monitoring the processes running on the device to identify the one that's causing the problem, but there's a lot of system process that I can't recognize between others more interesting on my point of view. Is there a list of standard processes normally running on the ios?

Aside I've tried also to delete e reconfigure all my mail accounts, as suggested somewere in the forum, it didn't nothing.

At this point the battery countdown is terrific, 1% every two minutes with normal use... and I can't even do a downgrade! 😟

You now have multitasking. Right swipe the bottom of your iPhone and it will show you by rolling that bar to the right, how many applications are active. Each active application in multitasking is draining battery. Hold down one of the applications until you get the jiggly with an X. Then close each application by hitting the X. You may be surprised that you probably have all of your applications active as they haven't been closed down and each active multitasking application drains a little battery. Think this might be what's going on.

Update: I tried to turn Ping and iTunes restrictions off, but that caused the problem to return. Yesterday my battery went dead after less than four hours with minimal usage.

The slow charge time hasn't reappeared and I've turned restrictions back on for Ping and iTunes and did the Cellular Data/3G turn off step. I'm hoping after I drain the battery and recharge fully, the problem will dissipate. I'd really like to avoid doing a full restore.

I know the issue's not related to multitasking/too many open programs because I regularly close out apps.

Very frustrating...

I have 4.3.2 and before downloading this firmware, my battery had no issues. I immediately noticed a battery drain after installing the 4.3.2 update. I have tried all mentioned tricks, but none of them seemed to make any difference. My battery is still draining rather quickly. Actually, last night I was at 100%, got a text and read it, put the phone down and then got another text a minute later and I was at 98%. I then googled, the drain issue for no more than 2 minutes and noticed my battery at 91%...something is wrong here and I can't believe Apple hasn't mentioned anything yet. There has to be some process running in the background constantly that is draining the battery.

Not sure if this is related, but I also notice that my phone switches from WiFi to 3G sometimes while in my house, and this NEVER happened before installing 4.3.2. There is definitely something strange going on here.

4.3.2 - iPhone 3GS - a bloody star up until this point (with only minor hiccups) - turned EVERYTHING off, effectively turned it into a 'touch' - drained it completely (well, I didn't - the darn thing did it itself) - charged it on the original equipment power supply overnight (that's 12 hours to me). It went from 100% to 28% in 45 minutes... yes, 45 minutes (which is the same period of time pretty much all over the world).

Now all this is reminding me of something in my past I thought I'd left behind ... what was it? ... oh yes, I remember, WINDOWS! Hours spent trawling the net looking for validation that the behaviour is not isolated to me and my usage patterns. Finding the same story being repeated by LOYAL Apple clients and then hearing the deafening sound of silence from ze Apple programming elite. The gap narrows. Shame really.

At least I didn't do anything crazy and update my iPad to 4.3.2!

Now where did I store that old Samsung Omnia.
