This is just a general reply, but the no Flash issue, at least for me, is mostly a non-event.
Problem is that some sites that I access are still being stubborn and continue to use Flash or not make their content easy to access on any mobile device. This is more true of Apple's iOS devices.
One site the irks me to death is one of the major network sites like CBS.com.
One of my favorite CBS programs is The Big Bang Theory.
I stream all of my network, video and movie content tomy iPad and through my iPad to my TV.
CBS is still one of the networks that is still being resistant to allowing mobile device streaming of their content and uses Flash to limit their streaming content to full desktop/laptop computers.
Why?
Laptops are mobile, too!
Jeez, all of the other network websites and even Hulu, are still running advertising. So, what's the problem? Why won't sites with Flash based content switch to HTML 5 to use as the container for the video or other streaming content? What are they concerned or worried about? They would still be getting the same revenue outlets they have been using for years that cover much of the content costs.
Just had to vent as there is no good reason that major websites can't convert to some other video streaming format container to showcase their programming.
Does anyone know if Google stop updating all of the YouTube content to HTML 5 to acceess all of the content there? I have run into more recent YouTube videos that won't play on my iPad , either.
Is this in response to all of the problems between Apple and Google?
Google is only doing more damage to themselves by not having their content accessible to all hardware platforms.Mobile or not.
