Will the iPad ever get flash support?

I find many web sites using flash components and I am unable to use these sites. Many videos will not play and Facebook uses a flash control to upload photos to your wall so I can not even upload photos I have on my iPad through Facebook. I can go to my photo and push it to Facebook but you can not leave a comment by doing it this was or at least I see on obvious way to do this. I will have to say I am very dissatisfied with my iPad 2 because of this. Playing videos is one of Apples Bragging points yet a lot of the web sites I visit I can not watch the videos from my iPad.

Oh please give me a break with that.. Apple's argument for not offering integrated Flash support is that Flash is a proprietary format yet Apple's devices use their own proprietary formats all the time like .mov .aif .aac and .m4a.

And yes, in an ideal world every website would remove flash and use more modern formats but practically speaking that is not the case. Even large television networks still use flash based players on their website.

Steve Jobs claimed that Flash is not intended for use on touchscreen devices yet everyother tablet and smartphone has worked around it and I find it hard to believe Apple could not do the same.

Battery life.. if consumers want to drain their own battery by playing games and watching videos on their ipad why should they not be able to?

The real reason Apple doesn't support flash is instead of watching free content on a television network's website or playing a free flash based online game they want you to buy it from the itunes store. Even if it's a tv show that you could probably watch for free.

I regret buying an ipad.. I rarely use since their is no integrated flash support. I find myself using my MBP for just about eveything since it's far less limited. The ipad is a great consumption device but lacks the functionality to replace a laptop, for me anyway.

I think it's awesome to come here 5 years after the iPhone release and find people still complaining about the lack of Flash support.

I think it's also awesome to come here 3 years after the iPad release and find people still complaining about the lack of Flash support.

I think it's really awesome that on average 5 new threads are started everyday requesting Flash support.

I think it's friggin hilarious watching the same people (Deggie, Johnathan, meg, philly, celliot... w/e happened to Tamara?) come on here everyday and respond to every single flash request with the answer that... "Flash is dead"... lol

I fear that is already happening, but the education being supplied is not given breadth from within the reality distortion field.

Thus I fear we will recieve your wish, although not in the form we're hoping for. But less daily questions none the less.

Oh, grow up! No one here has ever said anything that contradicts the FACT that the iPad does not support Flash and never will.

Yes, it is awesome that some individuals still don't understand that the iPad does not support Flash and never will. Instead of purchasing a product that meets their requirements, they come here to whine and whine and whine.

IT DOESN'T SUPPORT FLASH?!?! NO! SAY IT ISN'T SO!!!

Wait ... Which Flash? Flash Gordon? A bit campy, sure, but still kinda fun, right? Flash, The Fastest Man Alive, member in good standing of the Justice League of America? Yeah, I know, it's the all red body suite. Kinda flaky. That sorta weird kid on my high school football team. Really fast running back. But he never liked the nickname.

But still, Flash SHOULD BE SUPPORTED. Write your congressman! Demand that at least one Flash be supported on the iPad now! OK, forget that kid I knew in high school, he's probably old, bald and selling cars in Texas or Oklahoma by now anyway. Support on the iPad wouldn't do him much good now anyway.

But some Flash at least? Right?
