IPad2 sold in uae no facetime

A`m I correct understnading this. I buy the gray Ipad from souqe unlocked with facetime installed I can dwnload the VPN from here in Dubai and face time will work?

I tried using my Macbook Pro to face time my Iphone 4 through a UK VPN. If I use my phone number it says user busy. If I use my e-mail address it rings a cuts off within seconds. I suspect either Apple or Etisalat are blocking. Through the Mac Pro I tried to down load a VPN through Apple it will not allow. Not doupting you but how did you manage.

Absolutly correct, I have bought mine from the US and it works without any problem.

Actually I haven't used the Mac to FaceTime , but using my I pad2 with colleagues who have FaceTime installed in their gadgets like iPhone or I pad without any problem.

I am using an ipad2 purchased by my father in Saudi Arabia and now Iam using it in India.

I tried everything to make facetime work, even tried to update my location, upgraded to ios5 but no use.

then i downloaded skype, the vedio chat option works without any problem. Another app called vtok which uses gmail id pw also works to vedio chat with ur gmails contacts.
