trying to update apps but invalid address keeps popping up

All, matching the addresses letter for letter is actually NOT necessary. Here's one thing you might want to try:

This link goes to Experian QAS website. It has a free USPS address verification tool. Enter your address (no personal and or demographic info is needed) and see what the USPS sanitized version looks like. Change your phone to match and see if that alleviate the problem.

If you worry about privacy, as a test, put in your neighbor's address, you might gleen some info on why what you have on your iphone/ipad is not validating.

You might need to check your address on Google Maps. I had been using the same address for all these years, and then they suddenly change it. It turns out I had to add an S for South at the end of mine, and it worked like a charm.

I have tried every solution posed on this thread and the only thing that has worked is deleting my credit card (CC) info which allows me to buy free apps. But to actually spend money at the iTunes Store, Apple keeps insisting my address is invalid even though it is entered EXACTLY as per the envelope from my bank. And I had already purchased apps earlier this month. What gives? This is insanity. They won't take my money! Idiots!

double check if you have an extension on your zip code. i entered my address half a million different ways and nothing untill i tried to enter the extention which isn't even on my bank billing address.

I entered my address a zillion ways exactly like the post office has it, exactly how the bank has it, i live on a State Route so i tried ST RT, St Rt, State Route, SR i tried everything.. turns out apple is stupid! i had to put an N for north after the State Route ** so that it would accept it.. and walla. i dont even live on a "North" i live on "west"!!!! they really need to fix this soon

Got the following from another thread on the discussion forums. Going to the following page and entering my bank info fixed the problem:

I just did what everyone has been saying...as I have been having this same issue for 2 days. I checked my bank for my CC information, and my address had county road spelled out at the bank and I had the abv. Cr. Once I changed that and resubmitted it, Surprisingly it worked. HOWEVER, one would think apple or our carrier could have sent out a text telling us HOW to FIX this problem w/o all of us having to Q & A about it!
