For a number of years now, it has been a real pain having to login every time I come to these forums. Other forums I use have the usual 'keep me logged in' option. Why does it not work that way here? I thought that with the recent format change, that issue would have gone, but no.

Once you have logged in you stay logged in until you close Safari or other browser.
We have never been able to log in automatically on the Apple forums - for security reasons.
That's great for you Deggie. Pity it doesn't work for some of the rest of us!
Tis true, but it might point to a problem with your installation rather than an issue with ASC or Safari itself.
I had the same situation on Snow which was pre-installed on my new iMac a few months ago.
A few months ago (depending on how long ago that really is) there was a problem with not remaining logged in and I had the same issue. It was fixed on the ASC end.
It was in June when I got my iMac, and the problem has been the same since. There is no problem with Chrome as I mentioned already. I remain signed in for days, which is why I now use Chrome over Safari. I wish I didn't have to.
Same for me. I've even tried completely resetting Safari. Still logs me out for no apparent reason at random intervals. I also tried it from the partition I have Lion on, which was a clean install to a formatted drive. It does it there, too.
Why can I not be kept 'signed in'?
