UMMMMMMMMMMMM, WHY WOULD WE WANT TO LOG IN???

we just put down $169 and there is NO INFO anywhere. all log ins fail.

there is no message to check back on any date or time. we want to log in because we paid

and we want to get it set up so that it works on whatever day it decides to work.

also, now it sounds like there will be an APP required. you will not log in and stream from internet.

you will now get an app for your iphone, touch or ipad and you will use apple's airPlay to watch via apple tv.

so, there are a lot of unknowns and questions. that is why we want to log in.

to get this mess set up so that it works on dec. 26. there will be no getting thru to any cs on that day.

so, it you don't have it set up, my guess is you are going to miss all the games that day and every day

until you figure out how to get it all set up.

shame on nba for not telling customers what is going on.

I'm really hoping that is a misinformed NBA customer service rep. That is a pretty big assumption that just because you own an Apple TV you also happen to own another Apple device.

MLB.TV worked fine (great for me, actually) with no special app, and it was easy peasy to use. If NBA League Pass is truly only Airplay, I'll be seeking a refund ASAP.

Do you have iTunes on a computer at home on your wireless network?

I'm wondering if you might be able to use AirPlay that way??

Otherwise, you are right. You will need an iPhone or iPad or iPod touch.

Surely NBA folks are saavy enough to know the implications here.

Not to mention, let's say you DO have an iPhone. Who wants to use it for three hours to

Broadcast a game??? What if you need to leave the house and want to take phone???

Also. Does it work the same for iPad 1 and iPad 2? iPad two offers mirroring

To tv and is a 1080p device I believe. iPad original is not.

Exactly. I have an iPhone, and I have iTunes on laptops. I can tell you that anything broadcast via AirPlay buffers much longer than video straight from iTunes/Netflix or MLB.tv (which worked seamlessly for me).

Come to think of it, doesn't NBA League pass offer DVR-like functionality? I can't imagine they would go solely to AirPlay. Like I said, if they do, I'll be cancelling, fast.
