Sustain pedal works in Logic but not Mainstage

I've just hooked up an ancient Roland RD 1000 and it plays MIDI really nicely into Logic. It has a nice weighted feel and I'd like to use it on stage at church now and then. Snag is, the sustain pedal isn't working in Mainstage 2. I see the midi cc going on and off just like in Logic's midi monitor and the sustain pedal in the mainstage controls lights up when I press the pedal. MS just chops the note off when "note off" is sent on lifting a finger off a key.

Any ideas anyone?

Yeah --- in fact I recently reconfigured my entire layout so that all controls are set to "Do not pass through" at the concert level --- then I just enable what I need for individual patches....that got rid of a lot of bad behaviors.

Chaps, this is looking hopeful; so I go to the concert level and insert a midi input of some sort? I've looked at the above and it looks as though you've just put in a button. If so, does the button have to show on the finished perform/full screen displays? I presume I don''t "press it"!? It just sits there blocking any 123ccs?

I very vaguely remember in Logic 5 I played about with "The Environment" - lots of fun but I got thoroughly confused! Is this the same idea?

Just insert a button in your Layout and adjust as directed. It will show up in your Perform/Full Screen display, however. But as long as it eats up the all-notes-off messages .... I have the same problem with those keyboard objects. I need space for knobs, not keyboards. MS 2 offers the MIDI Lamps, which improves the situation.

It's about the same idea, but it looks better in MS, doesn't it?

THANKS guys - just got back from the church where all "all notes offs" are being knobbled nicely. We now have this lovely weighted 88key controller (which has the added advantage of being somewhere safe for my MBpro to sit) and all the tasty sounds from MS.

I think there might be a problem on the forum - on IE the "mark correct answer" option isn't showing. On Safari, I could only mark one Correct Answer. Anyway, thanks to all of you.
