After iphone 4 4.3.3 update wifi not working

My iphone 4 been running on 4.3.1 smoothly until I upgraded my software to 4.3.3 this week.

I cannot connect to my wifi(apple timecapsule) all my other devices still running 4.3.1 can connect.

Reading the forums, I did the following.

1. Reset all network settings-did not work

2. Hard reset-did not work

3. Restore and setup new phone without restoring backup to 4.3.3-did not work

4. Trying to downgrade to 4.3.1 did not work as itunes ays that its not eligalbe for this build after going into DFU mode.

The bad for me is I never jailbreak any device and still going a legit route i now only have a 3G working.

Is this a confirmed bug?

If anyone has the same issue but solved let me know.

I have the same problem, I upgraded my iPhone 4 to 4.3.3 and now my wifi isn't working. I tried resetting network settings and that didn't work either. I upgraded my iPad 2 to 4.3.3 and the wifi works fine.

I only just updated my iphone 3gs yesterday, and now it wont connect to any wifi network. When I go to settings I see wifi hotspots, but when I try to connect it will not. Even my home one it wont connect to anymore. When I try to connect to a known network I get "unable to join". Lets get a fix soon please as I use the wifi 90% of the time to save on data.

I'm sure it's not either because of the router problem or the remember wifi authentication of the iphone. It's because of the weak signal of the iphone after upgrading to the 4.3.3.

I'm an engineer so I know where the problem comes from, My iphone wifi turns out to be very weak after I upgraded it to 4.3.3 and it's so weird. You could connect to the AP, of course, but just when you stay very near to the AP since the antena of the iphone turns to be very very weak.

I just don't know if the 4.3.4 could have a fix on it or not. My iphone is the internationally one and still under waranty but I'm now in Mumbai and I don't know where to get it fixed... I'm really disappointed about this and Apple, maybe the driver problem. I also heard about the speaker problem and the screen color problem of this version... There's a much difference between the quality of all the products from Apple... they don't pay much attention for the QA&QC...

Hello,

I'm having a similar issue. As of about one hour ago, my iPhone 4 (running iOS 4.3.4) will no longer connect to my home wireless network. This has never happened before; wifi has always worked smoothly in the past. When I attempt to connect to the network by manually entering its respective password, it tells me that the password is incorrect (which is not the case). On a few occasions, it apears as though I am briefly connected to the network (as indicated by a checkmark next to the network name), but this quickly goes away and a notification appears informing me that the network password is incorrect. My attempts to resolve the issue have included:

-Hard reset

-Turning wifi off, then back on

-Selecting the network, choosing "forget this network", and typing in the password when the network appears

-Selecting "Other..." and manually entering the name, security type, and password for the network

-Resetting network settings

None of these attempts have resolved the issue. I would like to get this sorted out ASAP.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Okay. I will now get in the "I now have NO wifi after 4.3.4 update" line. My iphone 4 does not even show the wifi icon anymore in the top bar. It type in the network password and it says I have the incorrect password. Lies I tell ya! 🙂 It is correct, but it says it is wrong. I typed in the guest network password...still "incorrect." I changed the password. Nope. Rebooted the router. Nope. 4.3.3 gave me no problems! 4.3.4 started the wifi problems and 4.3.5 didn't fix them either. Sigh...

Any ideas? Help!

WiFi on my iPad 2 stopped working after iOS 4.3.3. I tried basically everything that's been recomended to fix it, with no succes. Actually, after a while, the iPad even displayed a "No WiFi" message on the Settings pane... I brought it to Apple, and they replaced it immediately. I guess this issue isn't really about the software. There is some problem with the hardware as well.

Hope this helps, good luck!

Like I mentioned in an earlier post, my WiFi problem started with iOS 4.3.3. I have tried everything since that upgrade to get my Wifi working again. Hard Resets, Network Resets, Router Resets, Restores.

In the beginning, Wifi still showed in the settings but said it couldnt connect to networks. For a while now Wifi settings show 'No Wifi' greyed out, as if Wifi part of phone is not working period.

Could this be a bad batch of phones where Wifi adapter in phone has died? I seem to know quite a few people whos Wifi still works fine, even after upgrading.

It is definitly getting frustrating when I cant use my phone to its full potential.

Update! I decided to call Apple Support Japan and I must say I am glad I did! It took 50 minutes on the phone but they solved the problem. I am not sure if it was a "Lion" induced problem but it is fixed now. Basically they walked me through just making a new network set-up. So I picked a new network name and password and set it up then my phone and Mac's all worked fine in connecting! So I think it is safe to say for me it was not an iPhone update problem but a network configuration problem brought on possible by lion or some other update. Anyway. It works now. Yeah!

jpapplefan wonderful u dont need to tell us how your problem was fixed but i am sure your comment about a vague lion was the reason why. this lion jumped in to your network and caused you distress. i will check my network to see if there are any elephants around yippeeeee

I still have the wif problem and i have tried all the fixes listed here its such a shame ios 433 is such inferior software and its a massive disappointment.. !

Solution that works for me:

Forced manual selection of the radio channel:

2,4GHz -> channel 11

5 GHz -> channel 44

Current config:

TM 7.5.2 ( Radio Mode auto and WPA2 private)

iPhone 4 (4.3.5) and iPhone 4 (4.3.3)

iPhone 3GS (

Before this manual settings, TM wifi was not detected by all iPhone (or appears sometimes but connect refused)

All above config didn't work for me.

Hope it will help someone

Well I really do hope that you werent using the worst headphones in the world which are the Apple headphones. I walked up the road in them with 35 degree heat and the sweat damaged the headphones. When i took them back to apple store in Brent Cross they didnt want to know. IOS 4.33 is even worse than Windows 98! and thats saying a lot.
