I keep getting an invalid address when trying to purchase songs. All the information is correct - it just send me in a circle

I just change the address and work.. then later, come back and change it again.

I've been getting that all day...driving me crazy! I need to update apps and purchase a book and it won't let me. Hope they get this fixed soon!

It didn't have a problem with my "address" when I added $15 using an iTunes card. But I can't download a **** thing. What is up with this? And if it's been going on all day why hasn't Apple addressed it with some sort of public statement? Or don't they care that they're losing a great deal of money? God, I wish I was that rich!

I was having the same problem all day and after putting the information in every which way, I finally got it to work!! I put the House Number on Address Line 1 and the Street Name on Address Line 2. It worked! So odd, but it worked!

Hope this helps someone else because this seems to be an issue with a ton of people today.

THE FIX: your credit card address AND spelling of your name must match iTunes.

Please don't google or read other blog entries on the Internet telling you to use a restaurant address or those that are telling you apple is doing address validation. They are all written by 17 year olds who pick up the first thing and re-post. Why do people try to "help" by authoritatively posting an answer? The mass of them are ruining my google searches. :-)

Apple is now validating whatever ASCII that you told your credit card company. It's not just address validation.

Name AND address must match.

Then it worked for me.

But what if you don't want to link a credit card but only prepaidcards?

I bought one for 100 dollars and I can't reach it :s

Same problem here!!! I use gift card, don't have a credit card attached. I put the address that I live, but it just loops "invalid address!!!" Ahhhhhh!!!! Let's get an Android!!!!

I think that's all because Apple soon launch new "cloud" service with joining MobileMe and iTunes. This thing forced Apple to sign a new agreements with Music Labels - i think they requested Apple to clean up and provide them info of all their client base - because this new cloud service allow you to stream your music on different devices - you know how Music labels paranoid about this.

By the way Google yesterday already launched in Beta the same cloud music service. Apple will be next.

So i think that new restriction just checking your address with phone book - it must be correct and match.

All this crap about credit cards are stupid - Apple can't check your credit card address if you have made account by gift card in first place and never enter any CC info to your account. So it must match phone book address.

This problems gets even wants to update apps. What the f**k is that. I dont want to add my credit card. There is a options in here "NONE". You add that and still dont accept my adress. APPLE what you want from us?
