pay as you go sim card data not working while roaming

Hi. I just boughan A1 abroadband sim card and it has a very cool offer : paying 0.59 euros per 1 mb in over 50 countries in the world.

Up to now fine. The only problem is when I put it into my UNLOCED iPhone 4 it connects to the cellular data network. I can see 3g or E next to my roaming carrier. The problem is when I try to actually use the internet I get a popout message saying that I do not have a data subsription and the data network could not be activated. Of course I do not have a data subsription it is a pay as you go card ! I've contacted the carrier and they told me there is nothing wrong with their network and I was told to contact apple since they might ahave a problem with the hardware settings. Help anyone ?

I bought on of these Abroadband sim cards a few days ago asking for express delivery in view of an imminent trip to Europe. The card arrived at my UK home within 48 hours of my placing the order.

In view of these reported problems and the fact that I had not yet used the 3g feature of my iPad (1), I decided to try to activate my account immediately. Because I live in an area with a very poor, or nonexistent, cellular data signal, I drove to nearby town only to find "no service" there either. So I drove to another town and immediately got a strong 3g signal and started the process of registering my sim card and account (as decribed in the guide) only to find that I needed my order number which I did not have with me as I had placed the order using my desktop PC.

But after a trip back home and return, I was able to complete the registration process and then got a message saying that my card would be activated within 5 minutes and 5 minutes later I had internet access.

I am using OS 4.3.3 and thewhile process went very smoothly apart from my problem with the order number.
