insert pdf into pages

Hey,

I was just wondering whether is was possible to insert PDF's into a Pages document. In my case I have a Project document and I want to include weekly reports which are stored as PDF's.

If I do: Insert > Choose > ...(*) I only seem to be inserting the first page of the PDF

It might be that it's not possible, but it wouldn't seem an unreasonable feature for Pages.

*(may be called slightly different, im using a Dutch language version of Pages '09)

For text-mode this is indeed true, when using a select all you get formatted text, but in the previously stated modes (move or selection mode) I was able to preserve the layout.

EDIT in response to the slightly faster posted previous reply

No, it is not the same. Cmd + 3 activates the selection tool. When you have selected you can use Cmd + C.

Please read again. Cmd + 3 activates the selection tool!!!!! It is a tool to select a part of a page in Preview. Then you use Cmd + C if you want to copy the part that you have selected with selection tool.

I think we have a misunderstanding, cause you seem to be agitated by what I wrote (which was not my intention).

It's probably because of when I said:

I guess it's exactly the same thing as a CMD+A, CMD+C, CMD+V.

When I meant to say: The result is exactly the same when I use a CMD+A, CMD+C, CMD+V (in selection or move mode/tool) in comparison to using the selection tool/mode and select the entire page and copy/paste.

Or do you mean something different?

Wow, I fear this is starting to become a flaming war aimed towards me 😐

Completely unnecessary by the way cause I always agreed with you guys.

Are you really unable to read entire sentences ?

I apologize but Text mode is the only one allowing us to apply Select All (at least in a multi-pages document).

Copying in Text mode extract the styled text but drop the layout .

This is very true, I've even already said this before, but maybe you didn't read that sentence:

And then we come to this one...

But none of these modes allow us to copy an entire multipage document which is what you asked in:...

Also very true, i've already acknowledged this and for me this entire problem was answered when I said the following: "Thanks for the help and quick responses!" (I also gave you points for the help at that point KOENIG Yvan)

So just to be clear, all my questions have been answered, so this can be locked (if this were a forum). ;-)
