Yes. On your android phone, surf to URL www.me.com/find. Enter your Apple ID and password. I just had success with this on my HTC Inspire running Gingerbread.

If you don't append the /find to the URL, the Apple website defaults to a mode tha assumes youmare accessing it with a device running iOS, and prompts you to down the App -- which of course, won't work on an android device.

Hope this helps. -- Ron

I'm having the same issue. Although I can get to the text fields by changing my user agent to desktop, my virtual keyboard does not pop up. I suspect I could log in with an actual keyboard but don't have one handy.

Really, Apple... Make a sign-in form complex enough to prevent users from using it? or is that purposely targetting your competition by making their device incompatible with their sign in screen?

Hi Ron,

This looked promising at first... I saw the "sign in" option when I followed the URL you supplied...it took me through the steps of signing up for the Apple User Community forums...and then when I went back to the URL you supplied - I saw a quick flash of a web page, and then the blue screen with the little apple bottom center and nothing else. So - it looks to me as if - no - we Droid users cannot. :-(

An iPad app for viewing a web page on the Apple website?

Hardly necessary.

The only reason your iPad browser prompts you to install an app to view the page is because Apple actively attempts to determine what type of device your page request is coming from, so they can 1.) inconvenience android users, and 2.) convince Apple users the web page uses some kind of magic "protocol" which cannot "talk to each other like normal humans would".
To find your iOS device from your Android device simply point your browser to https://www.icloud.com/#find . (Apple is abandoning MobileMe users.)

You'll also sadly need to change the User Agent setting in your browser to "Desktop" since, if you change it to iPad, they will prompt you to install an app, and if you use "Android" they will tell you to get lost.

You'll also need to log in every time because they use a modal log in pop up, which prevents you from storing your credentials.

I simply leave one browser set up this way, and add a shortcut to one of my home screens for viewing just this page.

Good luck.

Not helpful to say "Use a computer"! I lost my Iphone recently and had to go home to find the Iphone. When one loses the phone away from a *real* computer, one needs another phone to find it. I bought an Alcatel 903 for this reason.

'Desktop' in both Boat and Dolphin browsers does bypass the http://icloud.com/#find redirects. It does try to load and screen goes black. However it crashes to the desktop. The built-in browser, Firefox and Chrome are no good - error message displayed saying cannot load page.

Any other browser suggestions? Apps like Glympse are no good. I need the 'call' invite or zap options. It is no good simply knowing *where* the Iphone is.

VPN is not a bad idea, but would mean leaving home computer always on. Are there any Linux apps that can access icloud? ... or is it possible to send data direct to the phone, in which case one could write one's own app!
