Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" album not up for 'Complete My Album' as promised?

I've a pretty big Lady Gaga fan and I've bought all the singles and promotional singles from her new album "Born This Way" because it was said that once the album released we would be able to buy the whole album at a discounted price through the "Complete My Album" function. As yet, it's not working for me. Am I looking in the wrong place? Has iTunes not gone through with their plan? Is it still coming and I must be patient? I would like to know.

Thanks Heaps...

I was going to buy Born This Way right at midnight but Complete the Album option is still not available, and its 4:30 in the morning. That's ********* and false advertising. I wouldn't have paid for the singles early to have to wait until later get the whole album. They're probably doing it on purpose because they want us to buy the album at regular price. That's so sketchy. I'm ready to switch my iPhone in for some other smartphone, and go back to buying CDs rather than use stupid iTunes. So mad.

Same here in California! I waited until 12am so that i could complete my album like the countdown page said and NO! "Born this way" is not in my complete my album page and neither on the album page. SOOOOO MADD

I mean I got Judas, Born this way, Hair and Edge of glory singles just because of that promise!! what a waist!

Maybe the record company did it or maybe it was just released and iTunes is having glitches or something but GOSH I want my discount deam it!

🙂 GO GAGA by the way

I'm gonna wait until the morning to get it, or maybe some days, If I can resist it!

Hi there guys,

I also have the same problem. It's happened to me before (with Panic! At The Disco's Vices & Virtues). What I suggest you do is email iTunes Support and let them know of your problem. I did so a few hours ago. What happened last time was that they credited my account with the cost of the single I had bought and then said I should buy the album (at the normal price). Hopefully, they will do the same again.

However, it's really annoying that Complete My Album is not working, as I also want to buy the album now! If this continues, I'm going to stop buying from iTunes because this is an unnecessary hassle.

Hope this helps 🙂

Simon

PS I love Lady GaGa! She's amazing

Never mind! I just found out! (ThankYOU Google!)

  1. Go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/
  2. Click on "Music Purchases"
  3. In that submenu click again on "Music Purchases"
  4. Clic the "Email-us" gray button in the right panel.

so.... how do you email iTunes Support exactly?

I mean I got the 4 singles $1.29 * 4 = $5.16

"Born this Way (Bonus Track Version)" = $15.99 - $5.16 = $10.83

I could pay $10.83 instead of $15.99 totally worth it doesn't?

Yeah, it seems the option simply isn't available for anyone. A total shame, since it's stopping a good many people from purchasing the album yet. It's frustrating!

Even though, at this very moment, on Born This Way's page in iTunes, it says you can use the complete my album feature.. But it's just not actually available.

I've had the same problem!!! This isn't the first time iTunes has had a major Complete My Album problem. The first time I noticed it was with Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream". It took a couple days for Complete My Album to work right. I don't think iTunes is doing it on purpose, I think it may be a system error. When "Teenage Dream" was available, if you bought the album before a certain date, you got emailed free remix of a song. Well, they're offering the same thing with "Born This Way". I think that may be the problem. Since the Complete My Album feature is linked to your account (you get discounted for how many songs you buy) and this free remix thing is linked to your account, iTunes is probably going haywire cuz it can't automatically link both things to your account, so the people who work for iTunes have to go in and manually fix the problem.

Idk if that's right, but it's just my theory on why it's not working.....

Same problem in Florida... glad I didn't stay up last night to do this... I would have been even more pi---d off. I called Apple, got the run around and a sales pitch for apple care only to be told the only way to resolve an itunes issue is via email and they have no phone support. I'd emailed them hours earlier and am shocked that their NUMBER 1 album, per their own charts, is having issues almost 13 hours into sales.

I know this doesn't answer your question... and it's not the Deluxe album... but for the first 24 hours, you can get the full Born This Way (regular) album for $0.99 from Amazon. No gimicks!

Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0051QIGP4/ref=tsm_1_tw_s_dm_llid53

I hope this gets fixed soon because I really want to support Gaga!
