Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" album not up for 'Complete My Album' as promised?

I've a pretty big Lady Gaga fan and I've bought all the singles and promotional singles from her new album "Born This Way" because it was said that once the album released we would be able to buy the whole album at a discounted price through the "Complete My Album" function. As yet, it's not working for me. Am I looking in the wrong place? Has iTunes not gone through with their plan? Is it still coming and I must be patient? I would like to know.

Thanks Heaps...

I don't really think it works that way buddy, you see, you bought the normal "Born This Way," the extra remixes that the deluxe version has are not listed in the normal version so you cannot use complete your album.

In the bright side, I bought the Deluxe edition and its nothing special, the remixes are a little annoing for me 😟. I just got it because I tought the motocycle artwork was a little funky. But after hearing these remixes, I would have gotten the normal version. And I love the motocycle now.

If you really want them you can buy them one by one I guess.

Hope this helps

I think I've found peoples problems. People say that they've already bought the singles: born this way, judas, the edge of glory and hair; and then they went and bought the rest of the songs from the album. i think its not coming up in "Complete My Album" because you already have the other songs, knowing you dont have them off the album, but maybe thats why its not coming up

I had the same problem, got impatient and paid full price. I then email iTunes customer service to complain about the problem and how their promotion was not being honoured. This was monday.

Got a patronising response from them today, which suggests I was simply confused and mistaken!

The response from Apple...

"I understand that you have a question about Complete My Album eligibility for "Born This Way". When it comes to your money, I can certainly appreciate how important it is to feel that you are treated fairly, and I would be more than happy to help you out with this today.

The reason the four Lady Gaga songs don't qualify for Complete My Album credits is because they are singles released before the album. Only songs from the album are eligible for CMA. I do apologize for the confusion and the inconvenience."

Although I understand the problem is now fixed? It's not great customer service from Apple - especially when their support staff 1. aren't aware of the offer and 2. don't fully read/understand a customers complaint before responding!

That's not right really. The buy the singles and re-buy them again when the album becomes avaliable is an old thing, (like in Britney Spears Circus and Gwen Stefani's Sweet Escape) artists don't do that anymore, like Ke$ha, Katy Perry. and now Lady Gaga.

The Born this Way albums already show up in my Complete my album page even when i already bought the full price album because i got desesperated:

I got also the screenshot of the album with the discounted price:

It was just a glitch of iTunes. I also got a response from the Apple iTunes Support people with the email I sent them below their reponse:

Dear Yobyz,

Welcome to iTunes Store Customer Support. My name is *** and I am glad to assist you today.

I'm sorry to hear that you're charged for the price of whole album instead of getting the discounted price.

I have reversed the charge for the item "Born This Way (Bonus Track Version)". In five to seven business days, a credit of $5.16 should be posted to the credit card that appears on the receipt for that purchase.

I hope this information proves helpful in resolving the problem. If you have further questions, please reply to this email and I'll be happy to assist you. Have An Awesome Day!

Sincerely,

***

Specific request: I have another music purchase question (explain below)

Item title: Lady Gaga's Born This Way

Details:

According to the countdown to Lady Gaga's "Born this Way" album there was not going to be a pre order of "Born this Way" on iTunes.

Instead, one would buy the singles of the album and then when the album came out, one would do "Complete my Album" and get the rest of the songs of the album at a discounted price.

The "Born this Way" album already came out and it is not listed on my Complete my Album page. Instead of the discounted price, it shows me the regular price on both the normal and bonus track versions of the album.

Here's a list of the singles from the "Born this Way" album I purchased:

$1.29 Born this way

$1.29 Judas

$1.29 The edge of glory

$1.29 Hair

The normal price of the "Born This Way (Bonus Track Version)" is $15.99, with the singles I already purchased (witch add to $5.16), iTunes should be displaying a discounted price of $10.83.... and it doesn't.

Would you work your Apple magic and fix this please?

Thanxs! 🙂
