None of this is working. I tried to recovery the ipad, but that also doesn't work.
What is the app you are trying to download?

The problem was about I recently renove my credit card.
Ensure your iPad is in the correct date, time and timezone.....this worked for us!
Gav and Tim are correct. I recently updated my iPad 2 to 4.3.5. Somehow the date setting jumped ahead by a month. I changed the date setting and it works fine now. Apple support is not aware of this problem. I called them and they are puzzled as well.
Same thing happened to my ipad2 I kept trying to install an app and it didn't work so I just waited for a couple of minutes and then everything was fine
I had the exact same problem. iPad 2 worked fine downloading apps until yesterday. I tried unloading disk space, changing time zones, resetting, etc...nothing worked. Finally I realized I had just moved so I went in and update my billing address on my card for iTunes and BAM! problem solved. Recommend checking billing and card info to make sure it's up to date.
I had the same problem - even though my time zone was showing correctly, I clicked it away from London and on to Barcelona.. then back to London. That corrected the error - weird but works! Thanks everyone.
In my experience, the error was related to memory usage. I had too many apps on my ipad and had to delete some. So I hooked it back up to itunes (on computer using the usb chord), removed some items from the device, then restarted the ipad. After that, i didn't see the message again. Hope this helps!
Recovery to 'new iPad' and reinstalling all Apps, Movies, Music, Photo's, etc worked for me. Ofcourse all my personal data gone, but at least I could install new Apps and update older Apps as usual.
This actually has a very simple fix, that has worked all the times I have seen it. Simple goto Settings > Safari > Then reset the cookies, Reset the Cache, and Reset the History. Now turn the iPad off and then on again. It should work fine now.

The suggestion by Phaedrus73 worked for me. (I.e., clearing Safari cookies, history, and cache, and then rebooting the ipad 2)
