an app i never purchased or loaded is suddenly appearing in my app update notifications window, its called g toolkit, how do i get this off my phone? I researched the app, from what i can tell its hackers.

g-toolkit app wants to update, trouble is I've never heard of g-toolkit, I've never installed that app.

So i googled around and I find a lot of complaints, people saying these gtoolkits are hackers, and the app

is nothing but a way to get to your phone/information, etc.

luckily I never pushed update, so now there is sits, and i have to be careful not to push update all.

How do I get rid of this without hitting update, The tiny red and white #1 symbol stares at me from the top

corner of the app store icon like an evil Hal 9000.

sooner or later I'm going to hit that button by accident.

Anyone got any ideas?

Has anybody else noticed the page you are presented with if you click either of the two links at the top of the G-Tookit page?

The links for Evolens info and for G-Toolkit support take you to a single page of virtually useless info. No useful info about the company, and absolutely nothing about the app.

Hi...just found this in my app update. I deleted the Gmail app & now the update for G Toolkit went away.

Hold your finger on the app icon till it flashes. Now you can delete it...

If for any reason it wont delete. You can do a hard reset. Now you can sync with ITunes and get all your apps back

if you are updating from the app store.. It asks if you want to update all apps of a single app.. you need not update any app if you choose

To update an app I never got in the first place.

Are you saying so a hard reset sync

To my computer.

Because the app is not on my iPhone

Desktop, where I can hold the icon till

It jiggles then delete, it's only in my app

Update notification file Thingy (lol)

I want to refuse the update because

I never got that app.

Why would I want to update it, ughlol.

I did a sync this morning .

I've had this issue four days now.

Hard reset?

Don't want to, phones 2 weeks old.

Def appreciate input.

What are my options, just want to keep

I really don't give a hoot what the G-Tool is for. How did it impose itself in my iPhone updates list? I read another post where removing the Gmail app makes G-Tool go away. Sounds good to me! POOF! Bye bye.

Google really needs to check thier development staff. This smacks of malware.

Just disappeared. Keeping it clean.

If gmailapp was compromised so be it.

Reg mail works fine.
