delete wrong apple ID from the appstore login

About a year ago I changed my Apple ID. Last night I did a iPhone restore from backup to try and fix a Apple Mail App issue (did not fix it). Now I am frequently asked to enter the password for my old Apple ID. Since I had the same PW I entered it and it responds with Apple ID not found..

Any ideas on what to do next?

Delete the app then re down load the app under the new Apple ID. The reason it's asking for the old Apple ID password is because that app is associated with the old Apple ID.. re download it under the new ID and the issue will go away.

Sure wish there was a way to see what app needed to be removed and re-installed.

The way to determine that is to update your Apps one at a time until the problem resolves itself. Check your App Store every day for updates so they don't build up. Even if they have, click the update next to each individual app so that you will know which app you are attempting to update when the password request comes up.

I too have this issue, I've read all the responses here and none of them actually include a fix. Kind of ridiculous. I've tried every variation of signing out, deleting accounts, connecting to iTunes, and resetting passwords, nothing works. Ultimately I simply had delete every app that was associated with the other login and reinstall. Really, really, weak performance from iOS on this issue.

What are you referring to? Do you mean you had Apps that were asking for a different Apple Account ID than your current one because they were purchased using that other account? If so, the answer has been repeated several times - they are owned by that other Account. You will always have to supply the password to the ID on that other account unless you delete them and then re-purchase or re-download them with your current Apple ID. There is no "fix". There is no problem. It is how it works. Separate Apple account - separate owner from the iTunes perspective (and Apple's).

If you mean something else, can you please explain?

Problem solved for me :)

What i did was delete that app and download again. Apparently it was because the app was downloaded with different id previously.

Right - that is the solution that has been repeated in this thread since the first page.

Yup... The big question is ::: If you have some 30 apps how do you know which one or ones that are assigned to what ID's?

Hi Tommy, I don't really check on that, in fact I don't really need to know, until like authorisations is needed. Sorry I probably didn't solve your question, but this is how i do..

If you have iTunes on a computer that you have sync'd with (so the apps on your device are listed in the Library for Apps), you can click on the App, then press the Command+I keys, and the click on the file tab to show which ID purchased the app:

Select the app, as I did with Brushes above, and press Command + I to get this screen:
