Is the iTunes Store down?

I open iTunes, it almost immediately adds the Downloads item to the Store section in de side bar, it says I there are 24 iTunes downloads available in the status bar, it says "Checking for downloads" up in the toolbar and then finally, after a long time, I get an error message saying "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The network connection was lost. There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later." Is anybody else having this problem with the US iTunes Store?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

I'm in Atlanta, GA... tried to D/L an app tonight... tried on my iPad2, iPhone4 and my computer... get same message... cannot connect to iTunes Store, Try Again Later. I updated and installed the software updates on both iPad2 and iPhone4 and tried again... same result. It must be an iTunes Store problem tonight.

hi YES mine is working as of this morning. turned off itunes match and genius mix, shut down computer for night got up this morning and turned it all back on, no problems, downloaded some stuff and imported stuff without any error message or network lost. not sure how long will last but for now up and running good luck and thanks
