Apple Support Communities permalinks fail when logged in (work only whilst signed out)

Example

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3101975?answerId=15351904022#15351904022 should present a reply by Elizabeth Vetter on the third page of a discussion.

Bug: the link presents the opening post at the top of first page.

Only if I sign out does the permalink present the required post.

My current preference is flat discussion, threaded comments.

I searched for other discussions of problems with permalinks, found none … am I alone?

Yes, works as expected when signed out, leads to page 1 when signed in.

Even a link/response to a post (just above) on the same page ends up on page 1, when logged in.

And it's coming back to me: I seem to remember getting pretty annoyed about this obvious flaw in a several hundred pages long thread about battery performance (back in Lion times).

Alas, I don't have access to the lounge.

it's been brought to the hosts' attention (as have numerous other "improvements" or "features" of the new iteration of ASC) and, so far, we've got what we've got.

Thanks. I'm not chasing (to be honest, I don't expect a fix), just occasionally reviewing the problem. As far as I know, this problem is not a result of any recent change/iteration.

I don't spend much time in ASC … wonder whether the problem is limited to older topics. If I stumble across any bugged view that is of a relatively recent topic, I'll aim to note the details here.
