What is being done about the constant log-out

This is truly a frustrating situation, to constantly log-in ever time I come back to the discussions.

Come on, this is not rocket science. Matt where are you?

It seems to me from my programming experience that changing the value on the lenght of the delay should be an easy thing. It should be a global constant.

It may be that it is not a constant but a variable in some way dependent on the load that use of the site puts on the servers. This seems at least plausible. According to the Jive documentation, each user session is assigned to one of the servers in the cluster. In previous versions of Jive, sessions management worked differently but apparently in the 4.5 version it is adaptive & based on the sessions load on each server.

As I understand it (which admittedly is not all that well) this was done to replace some global management functions with local ones to increase overall system reliability & to reduce intra-server communications requirements.

Anyone else having a particularly frustrating experience today????

Every time I need to log back in, it literally takes anywhere from 1 - 4 minutes to get to the log in screen and then an equal amount of time to get to my homepage... that is, if I get there at all. Two out of three times I wind up with a 404 - not found page; if I then simply use my bookmark, I get there.

Extremely frustrating and it's been going on all day.
