I have a hidden user account on my machine created by a livescribe installation. i've removed livescribe from my machine, but now want to delete the livescribe account that was created. anyone know how to do this?

It is probably a root user account - nothing to worry about except that whoever created it will have more access to your Mac than you do. Full details here: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4499
Yes, it was a root user account! I disabled it. Thank you soooooo much! 🙂
You are welcome. I often login as root to solve problems but it can be dangerous if you are not very careful. It can also be useful as a quick way to help others who have forgotten their password but there are normally other ways to boot Macs when no passwords are known as long as you have keyboard access.
