How do I reconnect media in FCP-X?

i imported a reference movie into fcpX and the audio was missing. well, no problem... lets fix it in quicktime player and 10 seconds later it was all good. well in quicktime that is but not in fcpX. i got a huge red screen but no information what is wrong. since i knew it had to do with the missing audio i simply thought "lets reconnect the media"... sorry folks, but doesn't seam to be included into fcpX.

i checked the manual and no information can be found on how to reconnect media within fcpX.

so my question is "how do i reconnect media in final cut pro x?"

my comments weren't inaccurate .. as i wrote before: i was talking about the relinking media issue , wich apple very obviously fixed

replacing media with someting else is another topic .. the way it's working in FCPX is definately not for all conditions the best workflow

but as you can always drag other footage on existing clips in the timeline and either replace it and keep the timing of the clip, replace it with the one of the new one or add a version it's totally possible to replace footage

Yeah, I'm sure no businesses optimize their internet results with fake comments. Wow, you are naive.

Good use of the classic Straw Man fallicy. I didn't say that no business create fake comments. Let me be more clear.

I was implying that personally I doubt Apple takes the time to even read these forums, much less manipulate them. If you spend more time here, you might come to agree.

I was also poking fun at the value of this rapidly degenerating thread (a degeration to which I am now contributing )

Some people they don't have to pay. Some are just plain stooges.

I can't argue with that one. 🙂

Yes, to stay on topic FCPX IMO is still a huge let down though I appreciate the improvements that have brought us to 10.0.7. Now going back to this original post. After successfully locating a missing file...FCP7 would automatically find all the rest of the missing files that were also in that same (located) folder. I cant get that part to work for me. 10.0.7 seems to want me to locate each and every file within the same folder. Has anybody been able to get 10.0.7 to auto find files after giving it a clue?

Thx
