Nope. In fact, everything worked fine until I... moved to the new appartment! Really don't know what else to mention. Just before the move I upgraded to 1.21 firmware and 1.4 driver. Then at some point Logic 9.1.7. May be I didn't test it enough becasue of the move...
Anyway. Here's what I have and what partially solves it. May be someone will have a clue of what to do...
Mac Pro (latest 4 core). 10.6.8. Logic 9.1.7. Zoom R16 with 1.21 firmware and 1.4 driver. If you open up a project and play anything, usually it's OK. If you try to record anything - all **** breaks loose. Clicks, latecny, hangups. If I immediately stop the recording, open up sysprefs (OS X), go to zoom driver page and switch drop down menu from 44100 to 96K, return to Logic and hit record - everything works OK.
If I add more tracks - the problem returns. Going to sysprefs and switching to 96K (it magicvally returns to 44100 by itself) once again solves the issue untill new audio track is added.
"Use 24 bit recording" ticked in prefs in Logic.
If I open newly recorded projects, they sometime are totally silent untill i go to OS X sysprefs and switch 44100 to 96K again. Then the sound appears. Yet have to test older projects, but at some point I wasn't using "Use 24 bit recording" check-box.
Even with this trcik, after about 30-60 minutes of work (sometimes a bit more) lags appear again. Only changing buffer size in logic's prefs can deal with the problem for a little time...
So definitely the problem has something to do with memory (during operation of Logic some leaks may occur which perfectly meets 30-60 minutes of operation), and with 24 bit audio/resolution setup. Weird. My setup is no longer usable as a stable and reliable bunch of gear. Several attempts to jam with friends turned out into button/mouse presing nightmare. Was able to record things but with a lot of issues.
P.S.: I've tired firmware re-installs and complete driver wipe/reboot/fix-permissions/re-boot/install driver routine. Same stuff. Will try to switch off "Use 24 bit recording box" and see if it has anything to do with the problem...
