itunes is charging me for free apps...why is that?
That's just asking you for your apple id password
yea i jst typed it...so they took me to the a page that requires to identify if i want to pay with visa or not...so i cancelled it and it worked....thanks alot man i really appreciate it
No problem, glad I could clear that up 🙂
Hey there I am facing the same issue I just got an iPad two trying to download Facebook and Skype but it keeps asking me for cc details when the apps are free why is that. I tried to do as above and press cancell and the download disappeared please help I feel IT challenged
If you only want free apps create an account without a credit card
When I tried it rejected the postcode which to me is correct but yah...not working
Sorry I read wrong how do I do create an account without a credit card
they sure charge you , why else ask for credit card details for free apps. i,ve never in my been asked to provide my credit card in case i might buy something. isnt apple smart enough to work out when someone is downloading a free app or a purchasing one. surely they could charge you app by app or give options to use credit card or not....im reallyndisgusted by this aspect of apple store. im sure glad i didn,t buy an ipad... i won it and unless apple chnages this applaing policyni will never buy their products... i also have an android tablet and android free apps are so easy to download and they charge you for non free apps after you decide to buy them not before hand.
If you are only using free apps you create an account without a credit card. You aren't charged until you purchase the app. Please educate yourself. If you don't own Apple products and don't have a technical concern then theres no reason to be here. Rants are not permitted on these forums
Everyday, my card is charged for free apps. I'm really getting annoyed because I don't understand why this is happening. I can't even run updates if my CC info is not entered. I feel like this is thievery.
...And I added the in-app restriction
Like I said if you are only using free apps create an account without a credit card. Do you have statements that say you are being charged for said apps?
I would not have posted if I did not.
If you are being charged for the actual apps (which are showing as free in the app store), not in-app purchases, and you can prove this via the iTunes statements then you need to contact iTunes. This is not a normal occurance.
