how to download free apps without credit card

I bought an iPad to my mom. Created an yahoo account to her and with that account created an Apple ID.

After that I tried to install iBook, a free app. I received the information "This Apple ID has not yet been used in iTunes Store. Tap Review to sign in".

In the review page, in payment method show only Visa, Mastercad and Amex.There is no "none" option.

It seems to only work if you say that you live in the US. So for those who live in Canada, they have to put in a payment option where as if you have it US you don't. You have to go to the music ITunes section, scroll all the way down to the bottom and on the right hand side you will see your countries flag. Click on it and change your flag to US
