Viber activation code

Hi all,


Anyone having problem to enter their phone number to get the activation code from viber?
I'm from Malaysia and i subscribe to a new line which is +60 (country code) and XX-XXXX-XXXX

Since the new number having 10 number, but usually the old only 9 number which make viber failed to send the code to me.

Anyone having solution to this problem?

Hi... I just upgraded from an iphone 4 to an iphone 5 and gave my old one to my wife.

I just tried installing viber on my new phone and reinstalling it again on the old one for my wife

and i didnt get the codes for either of them and did try the phone call... and same thing...nothing.


I ask a friend who also upgraded and he told me he couldnt do it either...


whats wrong....


please help...any ideas will be appr.

I originaly use Viber with my Ipod touch 4G, but today I was testing Viber with a friends phone with my cell numer. When I deactivate it on my friends phone and try to activate it again on my ipod and put the code put the activation code, but viber keeps saying

"Enter the 4-digit code you recieved..."


tried with other friends cell numbers to activate it, got the code, i put the 4 digit code and same problem...


Im using an Ipod touch 4G... like i always have been using...

Please try removing Viber, wait 24 hours, reinstall and try again (make sure you try both the SMS and the automated call options).

In addition, you may try to register to Viber with a different number (for example - your home landline number, a friend's number, etc.), in order to determine whether the problem is specific with your number, or a general one.

OK....here is the deal...

i tried using another number ... first i used my landline and it did make the call.. but the code it gave me when

i introduce them it tells me that they are wrong...


then i tried using another number for a different carrier and it send me the code... but the same when i when to introduce it... it said it was the wrong code....


here we have four carriers.... Movistar Cable& Wireless Digicel and Claro.... mine is Claro and the otherone i have

is Cable & Wireless... It did send the code to the cable and wireless... but my wifes is with Movistar and is having

the same issue..

I've seen messaging about adding multiple devices activation feature in 2011, it's now 2013 and we still don't have it, not a big deal you might say, but not when you swapping 3 devices on various operating systems.. While on ios it's fine, we do have iMessages which works great, but than I would need to continue my conversation on android or windows phone. I would need to re-activate just like on viber competitor whatsapp. Until this could be done those guys like me will stick to Skype and won't force our friends and relatives to get viber :) Hope to see multiple devices support this year!

You are right - this feature is long anticipated, and has still not be released. However, please note that this feature is a rather complex one. It requires for us to build a 'cloud' and full synchronization between several devices on which Viber may run.


As we said, we are working on it these days and we hope to incorporate this option into Viber as soon as we can.

I have a problem with Viber as follows, I have an iPhone 5, latest operating version etc, I installed Viber originally, all seemed fine then I ended up re-installing it after uninstalling it, because I was checking I'd left the 0 out of country code. All seemed ok, it wouldn't however accept the original code (which I received via telephone) and I received the usual error message. I've waited for the recommended time to re-install, it has not accepted the original activation code so I've waited again for the recommended period of time and I had another activation code (via SMS), it didn't accept this, I've repeated this process again after waiting, and received the same code (SMS), however it won't accept this or the previous code. I've repeated this and received another code (via SMS) this doesn't work either. So I then received another code (via call back) which doesn't work either.


I now have 4 codes, none work, I have exhausted Vibers troubleshooting guidelines and had hoped I may be able to get this App working within a week but it's appearing unlikely.


Please don't direct me to the Troubleshooting site as I really am losing the will to live with this.


I live in hope that one day, one of my codes will be accepted, I'm getting the SMS's and call-backs so my number is ok and it has actually worked once.


Will I have to wait for another period of time before I try something else?

Is this usual?

Even though I've gotten the message for my verification code, it just says incorrect code. I've also tried to get the code through voice call and it just gives me a different code and that code doesn't work either.

I've tried deleting viber and reinstalling it after a few days, but the problem still is the same. I'm from Hong Kong and the country code is +852

I'm having problems with VIber. I hade viber for over a year, and yesterday i get notification to get Viber setup. And for that moment i cant ger viber setup. First I'm having problems with my verification code.

Even though I've gotten the message for my verification code, it just says incorrect code. And now it says this error An error has occurred duruing the Viber activation process.

I'm from Montenegro.
