After updating to 3.1.3, using command-O for the lift/stamp tool does not work. Anyone else with this problem?

After updating to 3.1.3, I can no longer use command-O to use the lift/stamp tool. It will lift adjustments from the selected image, but will not stamp. Anyone else notice this issue?

Thanks

I am also experiencing the same behavior. I work in Split view nearly all the time. Pressing "o" and clicking an adjusted image would pick up the adjustments, then by simply moving the cursor over another image, the arrow would show as a down arrow where you could stamp whatever you clicked - or my favorite was holding down shift would allow a bulk change. It was super helpful, especially for dealing with portraits.

This looks to have changed in 3.1.3. I thought it was a bug, but now I'm not sure it wasn't engineered this way on purpose. The new procedure is to hold option down to flip the arrow, shift+option to bulk apply adjustments.

I have no idea why Apple would have it work one way in Browser view, and then inexplicably have it work a different way in Split view. Strange.

** If Apple reads this: put it one way or the other, please. I can adapt, but this seems incomplete, unintuitave and inefficient.

To Sum Up:

When using dual monitors or in any way seeing a large view of the image(Like Split View), the tool WILL grab the 'lift' info, but will bloop an error for some annoying reason.

Then you can go on to Stamp other images by choosing either 'SHIFT-O' keys or 'Option' whilst hovering over the image you want to stamp onto.

The only way not to get the error is to pretend you are an old Lightroom user 😉 and turn off your lovely large image displays/second monitor image and ONLY view the Browser of thumbnail images.

If they say they did that on purpose, they are high. Seems to me they only tested on iMacs in house, and not the dual-screen setups that many working pros use... because having to choose between turing off my large preview image, or listeninging to the blasted bloop EVERY frickin time I lift and stamp is just nasty.

A very loud resounding EXACTLY! My sincere hopes are that this is fixed in the next update.

Thank you for your summary Ken! Spot on!

Oh, and maybe everyone knows this... but just in case it helps someone.

The reason Shift-O works is that it's the defined keyboard shortcut in Aperture/Commands menu for STAMP. Those shortcut settings are really extensive and you can change anything you like.

I never use 'Preview' function, so I made 'P' the Polarize Quickbrush, which I use constantly.

And 'Option' works, because in many commands, it flips the setting... (Rotate CCW becomes Rotate Clockwise when holding down option).

cheers,

Ken
