Facetime Server Encountered Error

Hello,

Just upgraded my SL to Lion and I am experiencing 2 problems.

1. FaceTime: "Server Encountered An Error Processing Registration. Please Try Again Later."

2. Screensaver Starts in the middle of the work. Tried deleting SystemPreferences.

The Problem #2 started to happen after I upgraded to 10.6.8. I have even discussed this earlier in this forum but that doesn't resolved this issue. I thought maybe an upgrade to Lion will fix this problem but it doesn't.

Yep same thing here! all the new features in the lion are cool but if

the apps which are built in are full of bugs, then apple should have reconsidered to

move the day of publishing the lion and repair the problems... sure it's cool to have lion,

but for now im not pleaced with the built in apps.

Everything worked perfectly with the SL, miss the old days haha 😀

This solution seems to work fine. At least a day or two....

It worked fine the first days. Now I am logged in, but cant make any calls or receive any calls.

When I try to call it says after about 30 sec of calling "Facetime Failed" and when someone calls he, the connection brakes when I press connect.

Again, when I change the host file, and back again to my original, it is working for a few days again, and again.

For me it seams like each time I change to a different wi-fi I am getting problem with face time, and the hosts file.

It is absolutely any soultion to change host file every third day

Have you tried contacting Apple Support Online directly? Since you seem to have a reproducible issue, maybe there is enough information where they can determine a root cause.

Have you tried just removing the verisign entry and not putting the original host file back in place? I am guessing that without that entry in your host file, your machine can hit the correct site long enough to get a certificate with an expiration time. When the certificate expires the bad host file entry is back in place and you cannot get a new certificate until it is removed.

Again, talking with Apple directly should take out the guess work if enough information is provided.
