Facetime Server Encountered Error

Hello,

Just upgraded my SL to Lion and I am experiencing 2 problems.

1. FaceTime: "Server Encountered An Error Processing Registration. Please Try Again Later."

2. Screensaver Starts in the middle of the work. Tried deleting SystemPreferences.

The Problem #2 started to happen after I upgraded to 10.6.8. I have even discussed this earlier in this forum but that doesn't resolved this issue. I thought maybe an upgrade to Lion will fix this problem but it doesn't.

Above link is for the Problem #2 started with my SL after upgrade to 10.6.8.

Is there a fix?

Please help.

For fail case folks with at least 2 network interfaces, for example Ethernet and Airport, has anyone tested against both connections?

I see at least one case moved from failed to working. Has anyone had a working Lion FaceTime system stop working with this failure?

Has anyone else experienced their Airport interface activate during the Lion installation when it should have been off prior?

Guess can you please do a test for me?

If any of you guys using Yahoo Msgr or Skype... Do set the idle time to 5 or 10 mins and let it go.... after 5 or 10 mins do check if yahoo turns to idle or not?

Make sure you have Show me idle after so and so time in yahoo and skype....

Weird thing going on is that, yahoo shows idle on the status and skype turns to away and unable to get back to Avaliable... Yahoo we can change to Available but idle shows after the desired time in that settings..

Just do a check and lemme know guys... This is something new I found just now...

thanks 🙂

Oh: btw forgot to tell you that I made a DVD out of lion and did a clean installation and guess what? FT still not working... 😝 This clearly shows there is something buggy.

I use neither of them so I can't test that, but anyway that's most likely an app-specific problem. You should wait for Yahoo/Microsoft to fix the apps (or contact them), I don't really think that's Apple's fault there (unless you're using Yahoo over iChat)

Now, if you did a clean install and the problem persists... Then there's no doubt there's something going on with the FaceTime app.
