Facetime Server Encountered Error

Hello,

Just upgraded my SL to Lion and I am experiencing 2 problems.

1. FaceTime: "Server Encountered An Error Processing Registration. Please Try Again Later."

2. Screensaver Starts in the middle of the work. Tried deleting SystemPreferences.

The Problem #2 started to happen after I upgraded to 10.6.8. I have even discussed this earlier in this forum but that doesn't resolved this issue. I thought maybe an upgrade to Lion will fix this problem but it doesn't.

Above link is for the Problem #2 started with my SL after upgrade to 10.6.8.

Is there a fix?

Please help.

sick of testing. I lost my time from two days ago for not accomplishing anything. And it should publish the patch this problem, it's a shame and a disappointment.

Sorry for my english.

I did have the same problem, but just fixed it. The problem is a certificate. Open Keychain Access and check the certificates. You will find a certificate issued by "Apple Applications Integration Certification Authority". There might be a few. Just delete them. Next time you open Facetime it should work. Might be a good idea to do a restart before. Of course, if you didn't get Lion from the AppStore, it might not work...

Check if there is a certificate issued by Apple iPhone Device CA. Delete that as well. Also, check "my certificates" and the "certificates" in Keychain Access. It's most definitely related to a certificate.

On my MacBook Pro, I got it to work a little diffrently, because it wouldn't work either. I deleted the certificates, booted into the recovery volume of Lion and reinstalled Lion through the internet install options. Not a clean install, just a regular one. You be promted to enter your Apple ID and password and then it downloads and installs. After that, it all worked.
