Since I installed iTunes 10.4 for Windows (Windows 7, x64), I can no longer use my Multimedia Keys for Play/Pause and so on.
I have a Logitech Illuminated and tried all the usual tricks like mmkeys.dll, but nothing worked.
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

well 20 gigs took 3.5 minutes so just times that by about 4.5 which should = about....*opens calculator*.... about 16 minutes. i got a i7 920 in my comp so it may take longer or shorter depending on how good your processor is.

I'm glad I checked this out as I thought it was my keyboard.. So annoying when say browsing the web and wanting to skip a track having to bring the itunes window to the front..
Come on Apple.. fix it!!!

Try updating to iTunes 10.4.1, it just came out, the update notes mentioned multimedia keyboards.
Just updated to 10.4.1 and nothing is fixed. Logitech Wireless Illuminated Keyboard and Logitech Performance Mouse MX.

Did you try restarting the computer? It didn't require restart on my Mac, but I'm using the bundled keyboard.
No. I'm working, so I can't restart right now, but I'll try it later and report back.
Even a restart doesn't seem to help my keyboard after updating to 10.4.1 (Win 7; 64 bit)
Is anyone else still having problems after a restart?
I installed the version of itunes from the link above, and restarted. The logitech wave keyboard's multimedia keys are still not working. 😟
New version still broken for me as well (Logitech G15 Keyboard). Tried restarting completely, but it didn't help

media keys work fine with media player, winamp and real player
at least the volume keys work with the system volume
installed 10.4.1 still no play/pause, stop, forward/back
mmkey.dll did not work as a workaround for me
hktunes works with assigning other keys, but does not work with the touchpad media keys. boooo
updated to version 10.4.1 and still nothing works with my Illuminated Keyboard with the media buttons..
I hope they fix it very soon
