Software Update can't check for updates (Lion)

Just downloaded and installed OSX 10.7. Tried to run Software Update and get the following alert:

'Software Update can't check for updates because of a network problem. The file “index-lion-snowleopard-leopard.merged-1.sucatalog” couldn’t be found on the server “swscan.apple.com”.'

Repaired permissions, created new user account... Issue persists. I'm connected to the internet. Software Update System Preference has no entries in the "Software Installed' tab.

Same problem here: till yesterday everything works, even weeks after installing LION. But now I get this message:

Het bestand 'index-lion-snowleopard-leopard.merged-1.sucatalog' is niet gevonden op de server 'swscan.apple.com'.

translated:

The file "........" is not been found on the sercer " ..............".

Anyone can help?

It may be a Lion-specific issue but it's not a Lion Mac OS issue. For whatever reason Lion can't find the kinda "update index file". Having this problem on both my MBA and iMac.

...and I've thought that happens only on Linux and Windows. I mean, I've bought a Mac to avoid exactly this kind of issues! Big fail, Apple! Big fail!

I have 4 Macs, all with Lion (3 new with Lion pre-installed and 1 upgraded from App Store) and they are all giving me the same exact problem with the network. It might be for sure an Apple Servers Issue.

The solution could be a small manual update or maybe is just a matter of time before it gets back online, I m sure.

I hope this help anyone (me included!)
