Lion Finder sidebar color?

Hey!

I've just upgraded to Lion and I'm kinda dissapointed of many reasons, like the grey aweful sidebar icons in the finder app.

Is there any solution to change it back to the normal like it was in Snow Leopard?

The other thing is the Mail app. The new surface looks horrible as well, even if I change it to "classical view".

I want the older back! It was good as it was!

There is no way of adding color unless there is a third party solution out there. Grey is the new color!

Thanks softwater,

I've never noticed the "I have this problem too" option.

Well I've taken I've taken it to 7 now!! Yep, we would of more than likely had a fix by now.

I guess that's why the colour sidebars are back in iTunes without any third party fiddles.

As for my final comment, isn't it odd how we are all on the same OS(s) and simialr machines but we all end up with a different result with our work arounds/third party solutions for this issue.

I would think that with such an insular system of machine and software like Mac, one would have the same result???

Go figure....

I have not run any of the hacks suggested here for various reasons but have been following the thread hoping for a better solution. Today I updated my Totalfinder Application and I found a checkbox in the settings adding color back to my finder icons! I don't run a mac without total finder because of the flexibility and functionality it gives me compared to the standard finder. Just thought I would spread the word as a viable option or in my case solution to the *** backwards change to the operating system by Apple.

Link to their webpage is below. Good luck everyone.

Yes, each to their own. I found TotalFinder absolute rubbish and wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. We all have our opinions on Third Party junk.
